the texture of low country

Charming, humid and well-fed.

Encantadora, húmeda y bien alimentada.

Charleston, South Carolina was more than I had hoped for.  The colonial town embodied a visual rhythm as deeply engrained as the smell of the Confederate Jasmine that still mingles in my hair.  An impressive transition into modern times has been made with beautiful bridges, free trolley rides and restaurants that made me reconsider my favorite flavor with every bite. I would recommend a visit to anyone looking to burn through money and pack on the pounds. Though the rickshaw bicyclists provide a beautiful view (of the city and cute butts), I recommend walking as much as possible around this sea-level wonder so that gelato and pralines can be eaten without missing the intricacies of the historic homes.
